Richard George
Richard George is a 1984 Business College graduate from the University of South Florida. Richard has been with Junior Achievement (JA) since graduation, nearly 25 years. He has served as President since 1985. Through two consolidations Richard has expanded franchise operations managing 12 counties in West Central Florida serving over 63,000 students, annually. He worked with Alex Sink to raise over $5 Million dollars to build JA BizTown in 2005 which serves over 13,000 Hillsborough County students annually.
Richard volunteers as a JA volunteer most recently at St. Petersburg High School. Richard won the Charles R. Hook Award in 2002. The Hook Award is the highest honor awarded to area presidents from the National Junior Achievement organization.
Richard has been married sixteen years and has two boys, ages 15 and 13, and a 4-year old girl.
